Fatal Crash On Briggs Street: Channahon Resident, 24, Dies
Will County Sheriff's accident reconstruction investigators were on the scene of Tuesday's fatality on Joliet's east side.
JOLIET, IL — The Will County Sheriff's Office was investigating a fatal crash on Joliet's far east side that happened around 4 a.m. Tuesday along Briggs Street near Rosalind Street. The Will County Coroner's Office identified the fatality victim as Channahon resident Jeremy Carr, 24.
Sheriff's spokeswoman Kathy Hoffmeyer told Joliet Patch that the driver of a Chevy pickup lost control of his vehicle as he traveled northbound along Briggs Street, crashing into a ditch.
The driver was ejected from the truck when it rolled over, pinning him underneath it.

A 24-year-old passenger suffered non-life threatening injuries and was taken to Silver Cross Hospital, Hoffmeyer noted.
