Fatal Crash Takes Young Braidwood Man's Life: Coroner

Tuesday morning's traffic fatality is being investigated by the Braidwood Police Department and the Illinois State Police

WILMINGTON — The Illinois State Police and the Braidwood Police Department are investigating Tuesday morning's traffic fatality along a remote stretch of road in Wilmington Township that took the life of 30-year-old Benas Ruzga of Braidwood.

Will County Coroner Laurie Summers posted information about the traffic fatality on her agency's Facebook page. The young man from Braidwood was pronounced dead at 10:05 a.m.

Ruzga was involved in a single vehicle crash in the 31000 block of Southeast Frontage Road.

A final cause and manner will be determined at a later date pending autopsy, toxicological and law enforcement results, the coroner noted.
