Felony DUI Arrest Near Plainfield Road For Joliet Man, 27
During a search of 27-year-old Angel Torres' vehicle, an open alcohol container was discovered inside it, Joliet police announced.

JOLIET, IL — A 27-year-old Joliet man who does not have a valid driver's license was arrested by Joliet police on felony drunken driving charges early Sunday morning near Plainfield Road and Prairie Avenue, Joliet police announced.
Angel Torres-Mia of the 100 block of SE Circle Drive, was booked into detention at 2:22 a.m. on charges of aggravated DUI, driving while license suspended, speeding and illegal transportation of alcohol.
Joliet officers on overnight patrol pulled over Torres-Mia for speeding, police reports show.

"While speaking to officers, Torres exhibited behaviors consistent with alcohol impairment," police spokesman Dwayne English stated. Torres performed poorly on sobriety tests and was placed into custody without incident."
When officers searched Torres-Mia's automobile, an open alcohol container was discovered inside, English indicated.

After realizing that Torres-Mia's driver’s license was suspended, the Joliet man's vehicle was towed away from Plainfield Road, police noted.
Torres-Mia is no longer in custody.
He got let out of the Will County Jail on Sunday afternoon after posting 10 percent of his $25,000 bail.
