Smoothie King Finally Opens Joliet Restaurant

JOLIET, IL — If you visited Brian Bessler's Joliet Area Bar & Restaurant Guide Facebook page this summer, you probably know that one of the most repeated questions for the group concerned the empty Smoothie King restaurant at 2506 West Jefferson Street.

Everyone wanted to know why the new building sat empty.

Why hasn't Smoothie King started selling their smoothies? This place should have been open now, others complained over and over and over.

This month, the social media complaining has ended, and the questions are no more. That's because Smoothie King is now open. Customers can walk inside to enjoy a smoothie or grab one or two for the road in the double drive-thru.

The new Smoothie King is next to the Murphy's Express gas station, over near the Walmart and Menards.

The Smoothie King in Joliet is now open 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday.

There is also a Smoothie King in Shorewood at the busy intersection of Black Road and Route 59. That particular Smoothie King is walk-in only. Unlike the new one in Joliet, Shorewood's Smoothie King does not have a drive-thru window.
