A woman involved in the Joliet NAACP posted on Facebook that the victim was her 19-year-old grandson. Joliet Police informed Patch that the victim was 19 years old, and he was shot around 12:30 a.m. Sunday in the 600 block of Dover Street.
Later in the day, Will County Coroner's officials confirmed Peete had died from a single gunshot wound.
