Fisherman Finds Man Dead in DuPage River
The body was found around 1 p.m. Monday in Shorewood.

A man was found face-up in the DuPage River early Monday afternoon, according to the Shorewood Police Department.
The man is reported to be in his mid-40s and police say he was discovered by a fisherman. The man was fully clothed and partially submerged in the water.

The man has not yet been identified pending notification of next of kin and positive identification and an autopsy is scheduled to be performed Tuesday. The man was pronounced dead at 2:33 p.m. He was found 100 yards west of the Route 59 bridge in Shorewood. Police have not yet determined where the man is a resident.
The body was removed from the river with assistance from the Troy Fire Department and the Illinois Department of Natural Resources police.
