FLOCK Camera Misbehavior By Will County Sheriff's Office Employee? Deputy Placed On Administrative Leave

JOLIET, IL — Joliet Patch has produced news stories about the ongoing efforts by Joliet City Hall to terminate Joliet Police Lt. Jeremy Harrison and then came last week's announcement from Channahon police indicating that an undisclosed Channahon police officer also faces allegations of misusing the village's FLOCK camera license plate reader system.

On Monday morning, Joliet Patch confirmed that another personnel issue with FLOCK cameras has just arisen at the Will County Sheriff's Office.

When asked about the matter, Will County Sheriff's Office Spokeswoman Eliazbeth Matthews responded with the following press statement:

"The Will County Sheriff’s Office holds its employees to the highest standards of professionalism and integrity, expecting each member to uphold the policies, values and standards of conduct of the Office while serving our community with dedication and respect," Matthews began. "On Friday, 08/28/2026, a Will County Sheriff's deputy was placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of an internal affairs investigation regarding potential policy violations. The subject matter of the alleged policy violations remains under investigation. Additional information will be released when appropriate and when doing so will not compromise the integrity of the ongoing investigation."
