Forest Preserve Offers 'Choosing Your Kayak' Program

Winter is the perfect time to figure out what kind of kayak you need to launch some paddling adventures come spring.
If you're thinking about buying a kayak, or you plan to ask Santa for one, join the Forest Preserve District of Will County for a "Choosing Your Kayak" program from 1-2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, at Four Rivers Environmental Education Center in Channahon.
The program will cover size, shape, uses, wants, needs and materials that will help you choose a kayak that suits your specific requirements. Register online by Thursday, Nov. 15, or all 815-722-9470. The free program is for ages 16 and older, and it is offered indoors in an accessible facility.
