
Frank J. “Butch” Chellino Sr. – passed away peacefully, Sunday, December 22, 2024, with his family at his side. Age 77.
Survived by the love of his life of 56 years, Cheryl (Adams) Chellino, his daughter Tara Chellino, son Frank (Jenny) Chellino Jr., grandchildren Hannah (Brandon) White, Grace (Auston) Jashari, Mary Chellino (Jake), Lucy Chellino and Charlotte Chellino; great-grandchildren Milana Rose Jashari and Samuel David “Sammy” White. His brother Greg (Linda) Chellino also survives.
Preceded in death by his parents Sam and Betty (Funk) Chellino.

Frank attended Joliet Township Central Campus for his first three years of high school and graduated from Lincoln Way Class of 1965. He served in two tours in Viet Nam with the Seabees, a branch of the United States Navy from April 1966 to April 1968. Frank started at the age of 15 working for his dad at Chellino Crane Rental. After his father’s passing he became the owner until his retirement in 2017. He was a member of Local 150 Operating Engineers. Frank enjoyed working in his yard, but his greatest love was his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home and Crematory, 2320 Black Road, Joliet on Friday, December 27, 2024 from 3 to 7 pm. Entombment Woodlawn Memorial Park. Funeral will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2024 at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church 127 S. Briggs St. Joliet for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am.
