Friday's Health Center Open House Includes Free Snow Cones, Fire Trucks
Friday's 10 a.m. to noon event includes educational displays provided by the health department's Women, Infants and Children program.

JOLIET, IL - The Will County Health Department is hosting a two-hour open house on Friday morning that's centered around fun and keeping you better informed. The 10 a.m. event at Will County's Community Health Center includes several fire trucks from the Joliet Fire Department as well as snow cones courtesy of Joliet Bank and Trust and the Walgreen's Pharmacy. State Senator Jennifer Bertino-Tarrant and a representative of Congressman Bill Foster's staff are scheduled to be on hand as well.
The event takes place at 1106 Neal Ave. There will be several educational displays and the health department's staff will be on available to talk about programs that address topics on teen pregnancy prevention, diabetes risk assessments and quitting tobacco use.
Friday's event for Will County coincides with National Health Center Week.
