Fugitive Louis Goode Captured In Rockies

JOLIET, IL — Seven months after Louis Goode left the Will County Courthouse after officials say he decided not to take a court-ordered random drug test, Colorado authorities now have the high-profile Will County criminal defendant in police custody.

Online court records confirm Goode, 34, is currently in the Denver County Jail.

The 34-year-old former Channahon resident is identified in Denver's booking logs as being a fugitive from justice who is to be held without bail.

Over the years, Joliet Patch has produced numerous crime stories about Goode, who is the son of now-retired Will County Judge Carla Alessio Policandriotes.

In late 2018, Goode was charged in Will County with four counts of domestic battery against his now-ex-wife.

Joliet Patch reported that Goode had punched his wife in her mouth back on Oct. 12, 2018 and then he yanked her out of a Jeep, left her on a road near Coal City area and then drove off, according to court documents.

In regard to Goode's disappearance from Will County, Patch previously reported that the following events happened at the Will County Courthouse on Aug. 23, 2019:

  • Goode never returned to court that day after being told to report to the probation office to under his random drug test.
  • A probation officer informed the judge that the log-in sheets from drug testing showed that Goode never signed in for his drug testing.
  • Will County Assistant State's Attorneys obtained video surveillance tapes of the courthouse. The video footage showed Goode leaving the courthouse and never checking in for his drug testing

After Goode was missing for seven weeks last year, Joliet Patch published an article headlined, "Louis Goode: Where Is Shorewood's Criminal Defendant?"

At that time, Goode was listing his address as his mother's house in Shorewood.
