Hallway Fight At Joliet West Sends Security Guard To Hospital
Joliet police arrested a total of four Joliet West High School students following two separate fights that happened at school this week.

JOLIET, IL — Joliet police arrested two 15-year-old boys Tuesday afternoon following a fight in the Joliet West High School hallways that sent one of the high school's security guards to the nearby St. Joe's hospital.
Both 15-year-old boys have been placed into the River Valley Juvenile Justice Center, where they face charges of aggravated battery and disorderly conduct.
A Joliet police liaison officer assigned to the high school campus learned of the fight at 2:12 p.m. By the time the officer got to it, the fight was broken up.

"It was determined the two juveniles became engaged in a fight in the hallway. A security guard attempted to intervene and was struck multiple times by one of the juveniles," Joliet police reports show. "Both juveniles were escorted to the office and placed into custody without incident."
The security guard was taken to St. Joe's to treat the injuries he suffered breaking up the fight, police said. The Joliet Fire Department told Patch that it did not transport the security guard to the hospital. Firefighters believe the injured security guard must have driven himself to the hospital to get medical attention.
