Hamburgerseria Owners Open New Joliet Wine Bar

The new venue just opened. Will you and your friends try it?

JOLIET, IL - There is no denying the fact that Hamburgerseria has become one of Joliet's favorite restaurants since it opened in 2014. Now, the owners of the popular eatery on Essington Road just opened a new venue about a mile down the road, also on Essington. This month, Cork Wine Bar opened at 2302 Essington Road. It's in the commercial strip mall across from Joliet Fire Station No. 8.

"There are a variety of good wine selections. About 20 wines by the glass, about 40 wines by the bottle," one of the operators told Joliet Patch. "Joliet was one of the towns that I thought would be great to have something dedicated to wine lovers. It's a unique concept for Joliet."

Glasses of wine at Cork Wine Bar range in price from about $8 to $14. Bottles range from $28 to $90, the business said. Cork is open 3 to 11 p.m. Monday-Thursday; 3 p.m. to midnight, Friday-Saturday; and 3 to 10 p.m. Sundays.

This marks the restaurant family's third business in Joliet.

Besides Hamburgerseria and Cork, the family opened Panino Fresco: Italian Street Food, on Jefferson Street, across from the Will County Courthouse, back in February. The downtown Joliet Italian sandwich shop used to be a Subway restaurant.

Plans for a fourth restaurant venture are in full swing, representatives told Joliet Patch on Thursday.

In the comings months, a new steakhouse will be opening in downtown Joliet, they said. It will be called J&B Steak & Seafood. The owners said they wanted to hold off on announcing the steakhouse's location, but they were comfortable letting people know that it's coming and aims to open around November.

As for Cork Wine Bar, the owners say they are aiming to draw most of their customer base from around Joliet, Plainfield, Shorewood and the Lockport area.

"We wanted to have something great in an atmosphere that's comfortable and relaxing for after work gatherings."
