He Grabbed Her Ponytail, Swung Her To Ground: Cops
Last Friday's arrest of Jeremy McKnight was made by Joliet's Police Department.

JOLIET, IL - Joliet Police say a 31-year-old Joliet man who tried to run from police officers responding to a domestic violence call in the 300 block of South Larkin Avenue has been captured. Jeremy McKnight, who lives in the 600 block of West Marion Street, threw his girlfriend to the ground including one time when he "grabbed her by her ponytail and swung her head toward the ground forcing her to lose her balance and fall to the ground," police reports state.
According to police, McKnight was located Friday morning near Cass and McRoberts Streets. He was taken away in handcuffs on a Will County arrest warrant for domestic battery and interfering with the reporting of domestic violence.
At the time of the initial police report, Joliet Police "spoke with the victim who stated she was thrown to the ground multiple time by her boyfriend McKnight." Reports indicate that "the victim stated she took out her phone and called 911. During the call McKnight grabbed her phone and threw it into a nearby parking lot. McKnight then again grabbed the victim by the hair and swung her to the ground. The victim stated she was able to flee from McKnight and located her phone in the parking lot."

Then McKnight took off running before the squad cars arrived, reports show.
"Paramedics arrived to treat the victim for her injuries. Officers were unable to locate McKnight that night. A warrant was later issued for McKnight and officers were able to locate and arrest McKnight on the above issued warrant for his arrest," police reports state.

As of Tuesday, McKnight remained in the Will County jail. His bail is $15,000, but he remains unable to come up with $1,500 cash to get out.
