Heavy Fire Damage In Joliet At House On Loral Avenue
Friday's early morning fire happened in Joliet at 1314 Loral Ave. on Joliet's west side.
JOLIET, IL — A house under renovation at 1314 Loral Ave. became engulfed in flames around 3:15 a.m. Friday. Joliet Fire Chief Greg Blaskey noted that companies from stations 1, 5 and 6 were sent to Loral Avenue to put out the single family structure fire.
The place was unoccupied because of the renovations.
According to Blaskey, crews found heavy smoke and fire coming from the entire building, so a defensive attack was utilized. The cause of the fire is under investigation, he added.

Loral Avenue is on the city's west side near Black Road and not far from Midland Avenue.
