He's Banned From Joliet's Black Road Library: Police

Justin Colnar has received a letter ordering him to stay away from the Black Road library branch, police said.

JOLIET, IL - Public libraries have a reputation for being friendly, educational and inclusive, but Joliet's Public Library has seen enough of one 36-year-old Joliet resident. Deputy Police Chief Ed Gregory said that back on the morning of Aug. 14, Justin J. Colnar, 3000 block of September, was seen drinking vodka on the premises of Joliet Public Library's Black Road Branch. Police said it's their understanding that Colnar was previously warned by library employees not to bring vodka onto the library branch's property.

As a result of the Aug. 14 police call, Colnar received a $150 compliance ticket for trespassing. However, officers also have notified Colnar that if he ever shows back up at the Black Road library branch again, he'll be taken away in handcuffs and charged with more serious crimes. Gregory said that Colnar has been given a formal letter notifying him that he's been banned from visiting Joliet's Black Road library site.
