Hooters Calendar Signing In Joliet: Get Your 8 Autographs

JOLIET, IL — A total of eight of the 2024 Hooters Calendar Girls plan to be at the Joliet Hooters restaurant near the Louis Joliet Mall on Saturday afternoon, including Joliet's Lissette Miranda and Olivia Jaskula who are both featured in the calendar.

Joliet's calendar signing will take place from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. on Saturday at 3301 Hennepin Drive. Miranda is recognized as one of the monthly calendar features, and Jaskula is also featured in the calendar for the same month.

Besides the two Joliet Hooters girls on hand to sign calendars, six more notable Hooters Girls will be present, including:

• Kiana Mahabir -Miss February from Florida
• Iza Glinkowski, Downers Grove, back cover feature
• Kaylan Rodriguez, Countryside,
• Marissa Rosales, Countryside,
• Lindsey Dunning, Orland Park,

There will also be a calendar signing on Saturday from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Hooters of Downers Grove, 1303 Butterfield Road.

During Wednesday's interview with Joliet Patch, Jaskula said she has been working for the Hooters company for three years and this was her first attempt at making the calendar.

"I finally decided to try out," she said.

"Oh my God," was her reaction upon learning she would be featured in the 2024 calendar.

"I was very excited, and I was excited for Lissette (Miranda) that she was a featured girl," Jaskula said.

Out of the blue, Jaskula said she often has had restaurant customers recognize her and tell her "congratulations," and her immediate reaction is, "for what?"

Then when they tell her they learned she made the 2024 Hooters calendar, she makes the connection and responds, "Thank you."

"There's been a lot of positive reaction," Jaskula said.

A portion of proceeds from the annual Hooters calendar sales are donated to raise money for additional breast cancer research.

According to Hooters: $1 of every Hooters Calendar sold locally supports Moffitt Cancer Center and since 2002, Original Hooters has donated at least $1,814,311 to Moffitt Cancer Center through “Give a Hoot” and other charitable commitments.

The most recent $825,000 donation made on October 7 from Original Hooters to Moffitt Cancer Center is being used for a clinical trial led by Dr. Brian Czerniecki to use the immune response to target mutations in women with metastatic breast cancer.

According to Hooters, their 2024 calendars are $15.99 and make a great gift for you, for a friend, or to send one to troops as part of Hooters Operation Calendar Drop program.

Jaskula wanted everyone to know that the 2024 Hooters calendars also include $100 worth of coupons for various food, including appetizers.

"A lot of people buy them as a gift," she said. "It's a great gift for the holidays.

"Jaskula said that working for Hooters the past three years has been fabulous. She works as both a bartender and a server.

"It's really great. They provide so many opportunities for us," she said of Hooters.

Jaskula urged everyone to visit her on Saturday at the Joliet Hooters to purchase the new calendar, plus get autographs from her, Miranda and the six other Hooters Girls featured in the calendar. 'We have girls from the Chicagoland and Florida, there will be eight to 10 girls, " she said. "Two or three are from Florida. Be prepared to buy a calendar, take pictures and get your calendars signed."

Love Purse Event Underway

According to Hooters, the Joliet, Lansing, Oak Lawn, Melrose Park, Downers Grove, Countryside and Orland Park Hooters locations are hosting drives to collect items.

Hooters is partnering with #LovePurse to hold a new purse and toiletry drive at the restaurants from December 1 until December 15. The purses, toiletries and notes of inspiration collected at Hooters will be distributed to Guardian Angel Community, Wounded Sisters Foundation, Sarah’s Inn, Metropolitan Family Services and FLOW Foundation.

Toiletries include feminine products, deodorant, soap, body lotion, toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, compact mirrors, comb, socks, slippers, note pad, pen, a few coins for good fortune and most importantly, a note of inspiration.
