House Fire On Dearborn Street On Joliet's West Side: Batusich
Multiple hose lines were used to extinguish the fire on the outside rear of the structure, a Joliet Fire Department battalion chief noted.

JOLIET, IL — The Joliet Fire Department sent engines from Stations 1, 4, 5 and 6 to 1203 Dearborn Street for a house fire that happened after 5 p.m. Monday.
The fire was reported at 5:22 p.m. and Joliet firefighters got to the scene four minutes later.

- The first crews encountered heavy fire coming from the rear of the structure.
- Multiple hose lines were used to extinguish the fire on the outside rear of the structure.
- All the residents evacuated the building prior to firefighters arriving, and there were no injuries.
- Other crews performed water supply, search, ventilation, salvage and overhaul, safety and support functions. The fire was declared under control at 5:50 p.m.
- The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
