Huey Lewis Replacement Acts For Taste Of Joliet Chosen

JOLIET, IL - The Joliet Park District announced on Tuesday morning's 1340-WJOL radio show that they have found a replacement for Huey Lewis & The News as the main music act for June's Taste of Joliet at Memorial Stadium. Park district officials have booked Rick Springfield and also Dennis DeYoung to perform at the Taste on Friday, June 22. Park District officials told WJOL's Scott Slocum that a number of people suggested they try to book the popular former lead singer of Styx as well. Springfield was also a popular entertainer at the Taste of Joliet in years past.

The Taste of Joliet website indicates that DeYoung will perform at 7:30 p.m. and that Springfield will take the stage at 9 p.m.

The concert will be on Friday, June 22. This year's Taste of Joliet festival at ATI Field's Joliet Memorial Stadium is June 22-24. To order your tickets,visit Taste of Joliet here.
