I-80 Joliet Ramp Closed: Hazard In Roadway Causes Traffic Problem

JOLIET, IL — The Illinois State Police announced that a major traffic problem is backing up traffic in Joliet along Interstate 80. The incident involved a truck leaking cooking oil and it happened around 4:05 p.m.

The I-80 westbound ramp at Larkin Avenue remains closed.

Troopers responded for a hazard on the roadway caused by the truck with the cooking oil. The ramp from Interstate 80 westbound to Larkin Avenue is currently closed and will be for an extended period of time. No further information is available at this time, Illinois State Police advised.
