2 Motorcyclists Injured, 1 Critical, After Ingalls Ave. Crash

A Shorewood teenager pulled out of a driveway on Ingalls Avenue when she hit the Harley-Davidson, according to Joliet police.

JOLIET, IL — A 37-year-old woman riding as a passenger on a Harley-Davidson motorcycle is in critical condition at St. Joe's hospital following a Monday morning crash on Joliet's Ingalls Avenue, Joliet police announced.

The crash happened at 8:10 a.m. near Hosmer Street. The driver of the motorcycle, a 37-year-old Crest Hill man, was also rushed to St. Joe's after suffering a leg injury, police announced.

A Volkswagen Jetta driven by a 16-year-old Shorewood girl was facing northbound and exiting a driveway in the 1100 block of Ingalls Avenue when the Jetta attempted to turn left onto Ingalls.

The teenager collided with a Harley-Davidson motorcycle that was eastbound on Ingalls Avenue, causing the 37-year-old Crest Hill man to roll onto the hood of the Jetta.

The occupants of the Jetta were transported to Ascension St Joseph Medical Center with minor injuries.

Monday's crash remains under investigation by the Joliet Police Traffic Division.
