Inwood Athletic Club Closes After Coronavirus Case
Joliet Park Board officials indicated the person diagnosed with the coronavirus was not an employee.

JOLIET, IL — The Joliet Park District won't open the Inwood Athletic Club for the few ays after a swimming club member was diagnosed with the new coronavirus. The park district made the announcement Wednesday morning on its Facebook page.
Part of the statement reads: "Staff has been notified that a pool member of the Inwood Athletic Club tested positive for COVID-19. Upon thorough review of the information provided, we do not believe any members of the Inwood Athletic Club or the public had contact with the individual."
The Joliet Park District indicated that "out of an abundance of caution" the Inwood Athletic Club will close from 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 22 (through) Friday, July 24" to allow for a deep cleaning of the pool, fitness floor and locker rooms."
