Jackson St. Closing In Joliet: Here's What You Should Know
The city of Joliet announced that Jackson Street between Scott Street and State Street will be closed beginning Tuesday, June 20.
JOLIET, IL — The city of Joliet has issued a news bulletin regarding repair work that will take place for one of the east side's busiest thoroughfares. Jackson Street between Scott Street and State Street will be closed beginning Tuesday, June 20, for improvements to the Union Pacific rail crossing.
It is anticipated that the work will be completed, and the road reopened to vehicular traffic on Tuesday, June 27, 2023. Detour routes will be posted.
Joliet advised motorists to reduce speed, exercise caution and seek alternate routes when traveling in the area.
