JCA Hilltoppers: Are You No. 1? Prove It!

Joliet Catholic Academy may have trounced Tinley Park Saturday in the second round of Class 5A playoffs, but we had our head handed to us when it came to showing school spirit on Joliet Patch!

We asked readers to show us their school spirit in photographs but received only 30, compared to the 192 posted by Tinley.

The good news is nonprofits in both towns will benefit from the efforts readers made -- we're giving one nonperishable food item for every photo posted. In Joliet, the food will be going to MorningStar Mission, which runs a shelter and food kitchen.

Fortunately, Hilltoppers will have a chance to save face before next week's game against Lincoln-Way West in New Lenox.

What we're looking for is quite simple. Either snap a quick photo of you, a family member or friend demonstrating school spirit and team support or send us something taken earlier in the season.

These photos can be of anything from -- cheerleaders on the sidelines, a player running for a touchdown, someone in the stands cheering, you in your JCA sweatshirt signaling your team is No. 1, your pal standing next to the Hilltoppers logo on the back of a car.

You get the idea. Let's support our team and work up some good old-fashioned school spirit!
