Jefferson St. Jewel Alcohol Theft Leads To Woman's Arrest
Joliet Police obtained a warrant for this Mokena woman's arrest earlier this week.

JOLIET, IL — A 35-year-old Mokena woman who works at Joliet's Budget Inn Express was arrested Friday in connection with the theft of several hundred dollars worth of alcohol and other merchandise at the Jewel grocery store on West Jefferson Street.
The Will County Sheriff's Office booked Sarah Doty into the county jail around noon Friday.
Earlier this week, Will County Judge Vincent Cornelius issued a warrant for Doty's arrest on a felony charge of retail theft. According to Joliet Police, Doty stole more than $300 in alcohol, food and cosmetics from the Jewel at 1401 West Jefferson St. back on Jan. 19.

Doty's bail was set at $5,000 at the time her warrant was issued by the judge.
After spending nine hours in the Will County Jail on Friday, Doty was released from custody around 9 p.m. after posting 10 percent bond.
