JJC Event Center Grand Opening Sept. 12
In May, Joliet Junior College held its graduation ceremony inside the new Event Center, located at the Main Campus, 1215 Houbolt Road.
JOLIET, IL - The new Event Center is one of the treasures of the Joliet Junior College, and college officials are ready to show the facility off. Joliet Junior College will celebrate the official grand opening of the Event Center at 3:30 p.m. on Sept. 12. The special event will include building tours, guest speakers and refreshments.
Constructed at the Main Campus, 1215 Houbolt Road, JJC's new Event Center was built to give the athletic department more room for sporting events and training. The facility is also large enough to host JJC's annual graduation ceremony. The college had moved its graduation ceremonies away from the campus since 2010 because of lack of space to accommodate so many students and their families.
