JJC Wolves Advance to Region IV Baseball Championship Against IVCC
Wolves advanced after winning the sectional tournament against the Harper College Hawks with a score of 7-4.

The Joliet Junior College Wolves baseball team will advance to the championship series against the Illinois Valley Community College Eagles in the best two out of three games beginning on Friday, May 15 at the Schaumburg Boomers Stadium at 1999 South Springinsguth Road in Schaumburg. The Wolves advanced after winning the sectional tournament against the Harper College Hawks last weekend with a score of 7-4.
The Wolves and Eagles will play the first game at 7 p.m. Friday, May 15, the second at 4 p.m. Saturday, May 16, and if necessary, the third game at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, May 17. Admission for each game is $5 per person.

As the number one seed, the Wolves were predicted to win the sectional tournament. The Wolves have an overall record of 33-23. Their most recent National Junior College Athletic Association national championship wins were in 2012 and 2008.
In addition to the baseball team’s accomplishments, Wolves Coach Wayne King celebrated his 1,000th career win with the team on April 19, when the Wolves defeated Milwaukee Area Technical College with a score of 11-3.
