JOLIET, IL — Joe's Hot Dogs is starting 2022 by announcing that its lobby is currently closed to customers. But Joe's is bringing back its drive-thru service. On several occasions in 2020, amid the dangerous coronavirus worldwide pandemic, Joe's closed its lobby and converted its popular restaurant on Joliet's Plainfield Road into a drive-thru operation.

Joe's also shut down its lobby to customers the winter of 2020-2021, reopening the lobby in February 2021.

On Sunday, Joe's did not publicize the reason for the switch on its Facebook page, but the Joliet restaurant's announcement occurs at a time when COVID-19 cases remain on the rise throughout the Joliet area.
