Joliet Baby Banged Head Off Shelf When Dad Knocked Mom Down With Slap: Cops
The baby girl's father was arrested and jailed.

A Joliet man slapped his girlfriend in the face, knocking her to the ground and sending the baby she was holding crashing into a shelf, police said.
Matthew Farley, 28, was arrested and carted off to the county jail shortly after 9 p.m. Thursday in connection with the alleged attack on his girlfriend.
Earlier in the evening, Farley pushed the girlfriend into a wall of their Heritage Drive home, police said. The impact reportedly put a hole in the wall and the girlfriend went to take a cell phone picture of the damage.

Before she could snap the photo, police said, Farley slapped the phone out of her hand. He then allegedly slapped the mother of his child in the face.
The girlfriend was holding her daughter when Farley hit her, police said. The blow knocked the woman to the ground and the baby went down with her, police said, banging her head off a shelf.
