Joliet Becomes A Ricky Rockets Community As Major Construction Now Underway: Photo Gallery

JOLIET, IL — Joliet has its share of Speedways, Thorntons and Lenny's Food and Fuels, but in the coming another major company will be entering the Joliet market hoping to entice your business.

On Friday, union ironworkers were busy erecting the new Ricky Rockets being built at the Rock Run Collection, Joliet's mega development anchored by the new Hollywood Casino Joliet. In addition to the Hollywood Casino, there is a Chipotle Mexican Grill and Joliet's City Council just approved plans last week for a Culver's fast-food restaurant nearby.

The Ricky Rockets Fuel Center could hope in the later part of July. But that's contingent on the construction project remaining on schedule.

Last September, Joliet Patch reported that the Ricky Rockets will be built at 1250 Rock Run Crossings across the road from the new Chipotle Mexican Grill restaurant.

There are 10 Ricky Rockets Fuel Centers located in Illinois including locations in Kankakee and Pontiac, according to the business website. The business was the creation of the recent Illinois primary Republican governor candidate Rick Heidner, who lost to Darren Bailey.

According to his LinkedIn post, Rick Heidner has been the owner and founder of the Ricky Rockets Fuel Center in the Chicago area for the past 12 years. The 310-acre Rock Run Collection development is near Interstate 80 and Interstate 55 and features 573 multi-family units called The View.
