Binny's Opens Ahead Of Schedule

With Friday's opening looming, Joliet Patch visited Binny's Thursday to bring you these photos.

JOLIET, IL - On Friday morning, Binny's Beverage Depot, one of the most highly anticipated businesses to locate in Joliet in years, opens for customers near the Louis Joliet Mall. There will be some awesome bargains on beer, wine and other spirits, Binny's officials assured Joliet Patch.

The new location is the old HH Gregg building. The store is massive. Binny's wanted to have the building ready to open for Thanksgiving weekend. Instead, Binny's is opening a month ahead of schedule.

Binny's will be open Mondays-Saturdays 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and on Sundays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

"We will be having very aggressive pre-Thanksgiving sales," Binny's managers told Patch on Thursday.

On Thursday evening, Binny's employees were busy stocking many of the beer displays.

Binny's has a total of 240 beers part of the Joliet store's "Make Your Own Six-Pack" for only $9.99.

Patch also noticed 30-packs of Pabst Blue Ribbon beer on sale for $12.99, a dozen bottles of Stella Artois on sale for $11.99 and Goose Island 312 Urban Wheat 15-pack cans for $10.99.

For traditional beer drinkers, 24 cans of Miller Lite are on sale for $10.99.

Joliet City Councilman Don "Duck" Dickinson got wind of Friday's opening and was spreading the word on his Facebook page Friday.

"Every neighborhood group I speak with is always asking when is Binny's going to open?" Dickinson told Joliet Patch. "Everybody in the community is really happy. It's a business people have been asking about and they're more than happy to have them in Joliet. It's nice, too, that they're ahead of schedule, and it's open for the holidays."
