Joliet Blotter: Man Charged with Violating the Sex Offender Registry

Jan. 28

Malchiluyah Carr, 34, of the 200 block of First Avenue, was arrested by Will County Sheriff’s police and booked into the Will County jail on charges of providing false information to the sex offender registry and failure to report a change of address, according to jail records. According to the Illinois sex offender registry, Carr was convicted in Will County of aggravated criminal sexual abuse of a victim between the ages of 13 and 16; he was 27 at the time of the offense and is listed as a sexual predator, according to the state.

Alex McDowell, 49, of the 500 block of Water Street, was arrested by Joliet police and booked into the Will County jail on charges of DUI and aggravated DUI/no valid insurance, according to jail records.

Jan. 27

Tyran Pruitte, 20, of the 300 block of Water Street, was arrested by Joliet police and booked into the Will County jail on a warrant for probation violation, according to jail records.

Jan. 26

Cynthia Williams, 48, of the 1500 block of Chicago Street, was arrested by Will County Sheriff’s police and booked into the Will County jail on a charge of domestic battery, police said.
