Joliet Burn Victim On Raynor Ave. Flown To Loyola: Fire Chief
Fire crews from stations 1, 5 and 6 were on the scene at the house in the 1200 block of North Raynor Avenue for almost an hour.

JOLIET, IL — A 41-year-old Joliet woman suffered burns on 90 percent of her body Monday morning during a fire inside house in the 1200 block of North Raynor Avenue, Joliet Fire Chief Jeff Carey announced.
At 9:58 a.m., the Joliet Fire Department responded to a report of smoke coming from the building, with a possible person still inside. Company 5 arrived to find light smoke in the house, and firefighters pulled a woman from the building with severe burns to 90 percent of her body.
"The burn victim appeared to have accidentally set her clothes on fire," Carey said.

The patient was loaded into an ambulance, and a Loyola Lifestar helicopter was called to the scene. The patient was transferred to the helicopter in a nearby parking lot and flown to the burn center at Loyola Medical Center in Maywood.
There was smoke throughout the residence, but no fire damage to the home, Carey said.

Fire crews from stations 1, 5 and 6 were on the scene for almost an hour. The fire department has turned the scene over to the Joliet Police Department for further investigation.
Carey said he hoped to have more information about the woman's condition later this evening.
