Joliet Business Says It Can't Press Charges After Man Trashes Office
The man came in wearing only boxer shorts which at one point ended up around his ankles.

The business of LTG Services at 800 Wilcox St. in Joliet was trashed Saturday by a man off the streets and now the business says they can’t press charges against him.
According to Shadanny Martinez, manager of the business, the man came in off the streets and destroyed the office.
“He scared the crap out of me and apparently they let him loose,” Martinez said. “I’m very upset about that because I had children in the office when he came in crazy, throwing stuff.”

The man jumped on tables, smashed the door to the business and exposed himself, Martinez said. When he came in he was only wearing boxer shorts and at one point they were down around his ankles.
Two clients were inside the business at the time, along with two children.

“I told them to get into one of the offices,” Martinez said, who is also pregnant. “I don’t think it’s fair that he can get off just like that by going to the hospital and not having to pay for the damages he did.”
Martinez said the man stopped by the business again Monday to apologize to everyone for his actions.
“He destroyed a lot of property and yelled and screamed at everyone,” Martinez said. “It’s like, really? How could he get out?”
The property manager of the building put in a complaint with the police and has not received a call back, Martinez said.
When asked if they could file any charges, the police allegedly gave them the police report and said that’s all they can do for the moment.
“We tried to press them but they said they’ve got to figure out what they’re going to do with him,” Martinez said.
Martinez described the man as tall, lean and African-American.
When the man got outside, he allegedly got into fight with other men and ripped the windshield wiper off a car and was then punched in the face himself before he was taken away by the police.
Phone messages left with the Joliet Police Department were not immediately returned.
