Joliet Cop 'Has Now Beat Me Twice Since Our Divorce:' Ex-Wife
Joliet Police Officer Bill Busse was arrested last week by the New Lenox Police Department.
JOLIET, IL - The ex-wife of Joliet Police Officer Bill Busse has stated in court documents that her ex-husband "has now beat me twice since our divorce in June 2018" and that "I fear for my life and I don't think I can ever move on."
Last Friday, authorities at the New Lenox Police Department arrested the 35-year-old Joliet Police officer who stands 6-foot-7 and weighs 250 pounds, according to court papers. Busse has been charged in Will County with one count of domestic battery in connection with allegations that he recently attacked his ex-wife at her house in New Lenox.
Busse now lives in Homer Glen, court papers state.

Busse's ex-wife also filed a protection order petition last week at the Will County Courthouse and a court hearing on the matter is set for Tuesday, June 4.
On May 18, "I allowed Bill to come over to talk after the kids went to bed," the ex-wife wrote the court. "At some point when I walked away Bill took my phone and saw I had texted a male ... I told him who it was and Bill flipped out, threw his drink at me, flipped the (couch) over that I was sitting on. He was yelling calling me a f*** w***, a f*** liar. I kept telling him to stop."

The woman stated in court files that the off-duty Joliet Police officer "kept hitting me open-handed. He spit at me multiple times saying he should kill me for f*** lying ... He put my head in the washer and was talking like he was going to slam my head.
"He hit me in the back of the head many times and the sides of my face, put his hand on my throat and was pulling my hair, I was begging him to stop," the ex-wife wrote the court.
Busse also "threatened to kill me if I call the police or went to the police. This went on for a long time and Bill finally calmed down," the order of protection petition states.
Busse continued to ask her whether she was seeing a certain man, the petition states.
"I told him it was an innocent text ... He then wanted to know what I wanted out of him. I told him I wanted to do counseling so we could move forward so we can deal with life. I was trying to encourage him to leave and he wouldn't leave," the petition indicates.
The woman informed the court that "Bill has so much control over me and knows how to intimidate and manipulate me. I can't seem to get away from him. He has now beat me twice since our divorce in June 2018 ... I want Bill to stop harassing me, threatening me and running my life like I am his property."
