JOLIET, IL — A 28-year-old man who lives in Crest Hill according to Will County Jail logs was arrested Wednesday afternoon after Joliet police say they found a loaded gun inside his car, even though Kasey Pillow is prohibited from having any guns whatsoever.

Pillow is now lodged in the county jail where he's being charged with aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, unlawful possession of ammunition, and possession of firearm/FOID revoked.

Just before 5 p.m., a Joliet police officer pulled over Pillow's Chevrolet Silverado near South Chicago Street and Fifth Avenue for improper lane usage, police reports show.

After officers detected the odor of burnt cannabis coming from the Silverado, Pillow was asked to exit the vehicle and officers recovered a loaded .380 caliber handgun inside it, Joliet police spokesman Dwayne English said.

Officers determined Pillow’s FOID was revoked, so his vehicle was towed from the scene, English added.
