Joliet Council Gives Tax Break to Unnamed Company
The company could end up employing as many as 700 people.

An undisclosed company has been approved for a five-year, 50 percent property tax reduction by the Joliet City Council at its Tuesday evening meeting.
The Times Weekly reports the company wants to open a 1.3 million sq. ft. warehouse in Joliet, which could employ up to 700 people.

According to Joliet City Manager Jim Hock, the reduction would be around $208,000 per year.
The business signed a lease agreement with CenterPoint Properties for a distribution facility to be located at 4005 Creekside Drive, according to the article.
