The Joliet Public Schools District 86 Board of School Inspectors approved a new three-year contract at the August 11, 2022 school board meeting for the Joliet #86 School Related Personnel Council, American Federation of Teachers, Local 604. The three-year wage settlement provides employees with an average wage increase of 5% in each year of the contract.

The new agreement is effective this school year. This bargaining unit serves approximately 235 employees and is composed of paraprofessional employees, secretarial and clerical employees, and nutritional services employees.

“I am very pleased we were able to agree on this contract in a timely manner,” said Superintendent Dr. Theresa Rouse.
