Joliet Drug Dealer Arrested On Briggs Street: Police
Upon the Joliet police search of Gregory Williams' residence, a loaded handgun and cannabis were recovered, arrest reports show.

JOLIET, IL — A 36-year-old Joliet man from the 200 block of North Hickory Street is now in the Will County Jail after Joliet police say Gregory Williams has been dealing drugs for a considerable length of time on the city's east side.
Williams was taken into custody around 7:25 p.m. Tuesday, near Briggs Street and Belmont Avenue. When officers searched his car, they found cocaine, multiple prescription pills, multiple ecstasy pills, live ammunition, marijuana and THC wax, arrest logs show.

- Five counts of delivery of a controlled substance.
- Possession of a controlled substance.
- Possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance.
- Possession with intent to deliver marijuana.
- Two counts of aggravated unlawful possession of a weapon.
- Defacing identification marks on a gun.
Williams' arrest happened after a long investigation by the Joliet police narcotics unit.
Officers pulled over Williams near Briggs Street because that's the area where he has been selling drugs, police noted.

Following the traffic stop, a search warrant at Williams’ residence in the 200 block of North Hickory Street found a loaded handgun and marijuana, police noted.
"It was determined that the serial number of the handgun had been defaced," Joliet police spokesman Dwayne English announced.
