Joliet Ex-Con Jailed on Robbery Charge

The Joliet man was released from prison in January after his second stretch in prison.

A two-time loser freed from prison just three months ago was jailed Thursday night on a robbery charge.

Steven Gutierrez, 29, was booked into the Will County jail shortly after 7 p.m. He was arrested about an hour and a half earlier at his North Prairie Street home.

City police identified Gutierrez as “Steven Montello.” Records from Will County and the Illinois Department of Corrections said his last name is actually Gutierrez.
