New Joliet Economic Development Director Is From Peoria
Joliet's new economic development director has been working for Peoria the past seven years, Cesar Suarez.

JOLIET, IL — It's been two months since Joliet's economic development director Derek Conley left to take a similar job in west suburban St. Charles. On Monday night, Joliet City Manager Jim Capparelli informed the City Council that he's hired a new economic development director for City Hall.
Cesar Suarez, the city of Peoria's senior business development specialist, has been hired to fill Conley's vacancy, Capparelli announced at Monday's pre-council meeting.
"He's got large shoes to fill in replacing Derek," Capparelli remarked.
