JOLIET, IL - One of the best places in the Will County area to watch fireworks is in Joliet. This year marks the city's 73rd annul July 4th Celebration. July 4th falls on a Thursday this year. The event takes place at Memorial Stadium, 3000 W. Jefferson St. However, there is a good chance for rain at some point during Independence Day. Last year's Fourth of July festivities at Memorial Stadium were rained out and had to be rescheduled.

This year's July 4th fireworks show is planned by an independent committee and is being supported by the Joliet Park District, the Joliet Region Chamber of Commerce & Industry as well as D'Arcy Automobiles, Busey Bank, the Joliet Police Department and Alpha Media USA.
