Joliet Gains A Uni Uni On Essington Road: 'Thank You For Choosing Joliet'

JOLIET, IL — The city of Joliet continues to flourish and thrive in 2026 under Joliet Mayor Terry D'Arcy. West Jefferson Street recently saw the grand openings for the new Bisa Lina marijuana dispensary at the former NAPA Auto Parts Store near Hammes and West Jefferson. Then, West Jefferson Street opened a new Jack in the Box fast-food restaurant at the old Arby's location near Republic Avenue.

Now, the city of Joliet's economic development office has announced on Facebook that the new Uni Uni held its soft opening at 1504 Essington Road and the grand opening will be this Friday, April 17. "Their handcrafted bubble tea and desserts add to the wave of new businesses opening throughout the area. Thank you for choosing Joliet," the city of Joliet's Facebook announcement read.

Uni Uni Boba Joliet also posted on Facebook the following details: "Grand Opening this Friday, April 17th with BOGO deals, get 50 percent off your second drink starting at 4PM, and FREE swag for early arrivals ... The Mayor will be joining us at 12 PM for the ribbon-cutting ceremony. We’re also doing a GIFT CARD raffle.
