Joliet House Faces Public Nuisance Vote
Joliet's City Council has its regular meeting at Monday at 5:30 p.m.

JOLIET, IL — A Joliet house on the east side in the Oak Highlands area faces the prospect of being declared a public nuisance by the Joliet City Council. Monday's council meeting starts at 5:30 p.m. The property in question is at 308 White Ave.
It's owned by Ronald Vogt. According to city records. the one-story, wood frame house has been vacant for a long time.
"The interior is in disrepair which can be seen from several windows in the home," a City Council memo notes. "The disrepair includes collapsed ceilings, debris and wiring exposed from the collapse, and the possibility of mold. The yard has been serviced by the City for several years and have had weeds as high as 5 feet tall in the back."
