Joliet Loses Its Bed, Bath & Beyond Store
The Joliet store will maintain its regular hours for now.

JOLIET, IL —One of Joliet's strongest retail strip malls on the city's west side is losing a key tenant. On Thursday, corporate officials with Bed, Bath & Beyond announced a total of 56 stores nationwide are going out of business. One of the stores in Illinois that is closing for good is the Joliet Bed, Bath & Beyond store at 2850 Plainfield Road.
The Joliet store had a solid reputation, achieving 4.2 stars out of 5 stars thanks to 450 Google Reviews. The national retailer sold a variety of home goods, bedding, kitchenware, towels and other home decor.
Joliet Patch visited the Plainfield Road Bed Bath & Beyond on Thursday afternoon to interview store officials about the pending closure. They told Patch that the final date of business has not been announced yet.

Otherwise, they said they were not at liberty to comment on Thursday's corporate announcement. The store's windows have large display signs alerting customers to sales of 15 to 30 percent off on many of the store's merchandise.
The Bed Bath & Beyond is located between the Planet Fitness health club and the Michaels Arts & Crafts store.

The Joliet store will maintain its regular hours for now: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, according to management staff
Besides Joliet, five other Bed Bath & Beyond stores in Illinois that are closing are: Gurnee, Schaumburg, Fairview Heights, Carbondale and Bourbonnais.
