Joliet Man, 50, Dies On Interstate 80: Coroner

The overnight crash along Interstate 80 occurred near New Lenox, authorities said.

JOLIET, IL — A 50-year-old Joliet resident died early Saturday morning after losing control of his vehicle and crashing into a concrete barrier along a stretch of Interstate 80 near New Lenox. The Will County Coroner's Office of Laurie Summers identified the crash victim as Dwight Reeves.

Coroner's officials said that Reeves was pronounced dead around 1:50 a.m. His vehicle was headed westbound along I-80 at the time he slammed into a concrete barrier near mile marker 137. The Illinois State Police is now investigating the circumstances of the Joliet man's fatality.
