Joliet Man Attacked Older Woman, Exposed Himself: Complaint

Joliet Police apprehended Lamaris George early Friday morning.

JOLIET, IL - A 42-year-old Joliet man is being jailed in connection with three crimes of violence and perversion. Lamaris George was apprehended by Joliet Police officers early Friday morning. He remained in Will County's Jail on Saturday where he's being held on a $40,000 bond. George is charged with two felony counts of aggravated battery and a misdemeanor offense of public indecency.

According to the criminal complaint, George is accused of attacking a woman who is a senior citizen back on Dec. 20. The complaint charging George with aggravated battery states the defendant "grabbed (her) breast." The second aggravated battery charge accused him of having "knowingly made physical contact of an insulting or provoking nature with (her) .... at a public place of accommodation or amusement, namely, the Housing Authority of Joliet, John F. Kennedy Apartment Complex, located at 2200 Oneida Street ... in that he grabbed (her) breast."

The public indecency offense states that George "knowingly performed in a public place ... a lewd exposure of the body done with the intent to arouse or satisfy the sexual desire of the person, in that he removed his penis from his pants and exposed his penis to (the victim)."

Jail logs show that George also resided at the John F. Kennedy Apartment Complex. His next court appearance is set for Jan. 25 in Courtroom 405.
