Joliet Man Dies After Single-Vehicle Crash

The 34-year-old man struck a building near the intersection of Caton Farm Road and Red Hawk Drive in Plainfield.

PLAINFIELD, IL — A 34-year-old Joliet man died after a single-vehicle accident Feb. 9.

Maurice Parker was pronounced deceased at 7:44 p.m. Feb. 12 at Presence Saint Joseph Medical Center, according to the Will County Coroner’s Office. Parker had been in the intensive care unit.

Parker was the driver in a single-vehicle accident where his vehicle left the road and struck a building. The accident occurred Feb. 9 near the intersection of Caton Farm Road and Red Hawk Drive in Plainfield.

The Joliet Police Department is investigating the incident. The final cause and manner of death will be revealed at a later date pending toxicological results, medical records and police reports, according to the coroner’s office.

Funeral arrangements for Parker are being handled by Corbin Colonial Funeral Chapel in Chicago.
