JOLIET, IL — The Will County Sheriff's Office has arrested 24-year-old Joliet resident Charles Caples, who faces an arrest warrant in connection with seven crimes of child pornography. Detective Nick Binnendyk submitted Thursday's criminal complaint at the Will County Courthouse. Court.

The first child pornography charge accuses Caples of disseminating a digital video depicting a child or children that Caples knew or reasonably should have known to be under the age of 13, engaged in sexual penetration or sexual conduct. That crime happened on May 11, 2024, the complaint outlined.

Some of the other charges accuse Caples of knowingly possessing a digital video, classified as a telegram-cloud document, on Dec. 18, 2025, and that the video showed an adult man engaged in a sexual penetration or sexual conduct with a child.
