Joliet Man Gets 12th Driving While Suspended: Complaint
Will County Sheriff's Police made the arrest.

JOLIET, IL - A 46-year-old Joliet man who lives on Krakar Avenue has remained in Will County lockup the past 10 days after Will County Sheriff's deputies arrested Roberto Huizar on charges of third offense DUI and his 12th offense of driving while license revoked. In total, Huizar faces seven felonies, all for aggravated DUI or driving while revoked or suspended.
Huizar has remained locked away from the community inside the county jail, facing a $100,000 bail, which he is unable to post 10 percent.
Huizar was put in jail at 10:34 p.m. on Feb. 2. According to the criminal complaint, sheriff's deputies stopped his car on Briggs Street in Joliet and "the alcohol concentration in his blood or breath was 0.08 or more." Huizar was behind the wheel of a Ford Taurus, and this marked his third DUI offense, court records state.

His previous DUI convictions happened in Will County on June 15, 1993 and on Christmas Day 2002 in Cook County, court records show.
As for his felony charge of aggravated driving while license revoked, the Will County complaint reveals indicate that Huizar has 11 prior convictions and here are those dates:

Huizar's charges reflect that "the defendant's driver's license was suspended or revoked for a violation .... and the current violation ... is the defendant's 12th violation."
The criminal defendant lives in the 500 block of Krakar Avenue, which is near the area of Mt. Olivet Cemetery on the city's east side.
In the event Huizar comes up with $10,000 cash for bond, a judge has ordered him to obtain a SCRAM device within 24 hours of his release, court records state.
